NOFear drawing and painting

Yep, that is what we need more of. It is so hard sometimes to not get stuck because of fear of failure. So being creative and not thinking about the results too much can be very liberating.
I have been working on some large paper based paintings using texture .... maybe for a hospital wall.... need to think about how it will hang.

New abstract art - contemporary tendencies and abstract painting now

New abstract art - contemporary tendencies and abstract painting now

back to school...

It is that time of year again .... and the weather here is grey and it's raining.

Time for something uplifting so after having baked a yummy cake I have now also planned a fun art drawing/painting club/class. I have 3 interested parties and we are starting a week on friday, just for a couple of hours.
Artista workshop...
urban dictionary definition is "a very spunky, quirky creative female artist, who is deemed a title like Artista due to her amount of spunkiness he lives and relates to life with" ....weyheyyy here we go!
get creative all!

Oxford 03 Gallery

The PV was fun! Met some very nice people including a very inspiring photographer...I may get the pic of the show. Lovely when old and new friends turn up.

Flowers and Coffee

exhibition Oxford Castle

I am now in a mixed show in Oxford, called Horti-CULTURE. (great name eh!).
My painting 'Flowers and Coffee' is there. the exhibition is on until 17th July. The castle complex  is a great venue if you want a coffee, lunch or drink on a terrace with view of the old castle. the 03 gallery is at the back of the terrace.
Ok off to do more painting!

news

well...the pics of me at the Brick lane exhibition are on the web as the video of me being interviewed at the gallery... see the 'Burn out' exhibition on the Brick Lane gallery website.
A  friend I hadn't seen for a loooong time came which was great.

May

It's been a busy time. I've just this week been to the private view of my exhibition in Brick Lane. The paintings looked great. The Exhibition has been well hung and some lovely people turned up to see it. Then we had a  lovely curry in a local curry house where we met some interesting Danes.
Also I have just been invited to exhibit in a gallery in Oxford in a couple of weeks time.
I've also been asked to do some teaching locally which will be fun.
In the meantime the lovely plumber and electrician we have are putting in a fab new bathroom....action all round... we are definitely out of the winter slump. The sun is shining beautifully aswell....weyhey!!

Spring

Spring is definitely on the way! Went for a lovely walk yesterday and in the woods, saw the shoots  of the bluebells coming up.
I've also been to London to see friends discuss teaching possibilities and see exhibitions. The RA has a good exhibition of sculpture. http://www.royalacademy.org.uk/ .
I'm now preparing for an exhibition in May at the Brick Lane gallery in London. Exciting stuff!
