This wonder arrived in the vegetable box this week.

Visual painting inspiration...still flowers blooming!

Although it is now starting to get colder there are still some plants around that are flowering in my garden. These fellas are giving me great inspiration for my next paintings which I have just started.

Ai WeiWei exhibition at R.A. London.

Last week I went to see this interesting exhibition at the R.A.
In the courtyard you were met by this piece.

Then inside..
This last image was a piece about an earthquake which had killed many including hundreds of children. Possibly due to cheap construction methods. So here WeiWei had the rods removed from the buildings and straightened. There was also a wall with the names and ages of those who had died. Very moving.

All very thought provoking. I was also struck by the way Wei-Wei made use of specialist craftspeople, whose trades and knowledge are under threat in our modern society.
