Phone Cover Art!

I have had one of my paintings printed onto a phone cover. So pleased with the result. If anyone has a favorite painting of mine they would like for their phone do contact me with your wishes (and what type of phone you have) and I will email you the price. See sample above of mine....now rather well used hence scratch top right! A unique phone cover.

Donation to Safe the Children

I am so pleased I donated one of my prints and a 1hr one to one art  session gift certificate to Safe the Children charity and it raised a good amount of money. I have no idea who won them but I hope they will enjoy them.

More wonderful skies to inspire

I went for a lovely walk and snapped these great skies on my phone.
A good to be alive day!

These will make some great reference for paintings. What do you think?

Teresita Fernandez Commencement Speech

This is a great speech for any artist to listen to.
I really like the way she highlights the moments we remember and the ones we forget and how it is about the way we live our lives not just what we do in the studio.

Also her work is very thought provoking.
she has work in NY.

And the winner is....

The winner of the art survey prize is....  the lovely Marie!
It was done completely randomly with excel.
She was able to come and pick up 'Warm Summer Breeze 1, 2 and 3' ,  just before Christmas, which made it extra special.
To all of you who entered and did not win....thank you so much for your help and better luck next time.
I will now wait to get the stats and see what rolls out of those.

My Mugs have arrived!

I am soooo excited as I have had some mugs printed with my paintings on and they have just arrived. They look really good! I want to add them to my list of things to sell at the exhibition I am going to have at Henley Business School in March. If anyone would like any do get in touch!

Brian Eno: 'Children learn through play, but adults play through art', BBC John Peel lecture - 2015

This is a very interesting article about creativity and what its point is... to quote:'So I want to talk about two questions tonight. The first one is, is art a luxury? Is it only a luxury or does it do something for us beyond that? And the second question is, is there a way that you can create a situation in which the arts flourish. If you think they’re important, perhaps you should be encouraging them in some way.'
Do read!
