How it starts!
I have always found it difficult to record what I am painting while I am painting as it seems more important to get on with painting than record the process....it also seems to take me out of the 'zone' sometimes. However I have tried to do this here and there, as I get people asking me about the 'process'. Well here are some pics of how some of my paintings started and then how they ended up!

New painting
I think this one is now near being finished.
What do you think?first you see how it was when I was still working on it. the second image is as it is now.
Water inspired... had you already guessed that? The pale greens of spring are in there. This has several layers of colour washes and then parts with thicker paint and some collage and oh yes....dust, packaging ...all good stuff. it has now also been given a coat of varnish to stop any colour fade.
I hope it makes you feel like diving in!

A blue thing going on...
I seem to have a bit of a blue thing going on at the moment. This being the beginnings of a new painting.
Or actually probably more likely to end up this way round...
It is interesting how it really changes the feel of a painting which way round I end up painting it.

Water water still on my mind...
I have been working on and feel now completed (....another whole story...when is a painting 'done'!!?) some smaller paintings that are inspired by water. (see below). These have been painted on board. I have put 3 together to create one image that can be hung with each board slightly separate. they have my collage and dust on them.
